The Liberty of the Seas is latest "World's Largest Ship" from Royal Carribbean (RCCL) and the second of three Freedom Class ships that include all the latest innvations in cruising including the legendery Flow Rider water ride at the stern of the ship. I sailed on the Liberty of the Seas on May 14-16, 2007 on a travel agent cruise and was stunned by the magnificence of the grand ship. The Liberty of the Seas has all the latest innovations of RCCL's Vision Class ships plus Flow Rider and the latest technology in cruising. The ship holds around 3500 guests but there is plenty of areas to find your own private oasis on the 160,000 gross ton vessel. Besides Flow Rider and H2O Zone water park, you can stroll the Royal Promenade, a 4 story interior mall in the middle of the ship complete with street level cafes, shops, an Irish pubs and a wine bar. Or you can play 9 complete holes of mini golf or play full court basketball with professional plexi-glass backgrounds or tackle the five story rock climbing wall. When it's time to eat, check out the three story dining room all with different decor on each level or sample the food at the numerous custom restaurants around the ship including Johnny Rocket, Chops Grille and the cafes of the Royal Promenade. Post dining shows include a Las Vegas style ice show on a full ice stadium called Studio B which on some nights hosts a mega 80's dance party. The ice is covered over the 80's party of course. After hours fun can be found in the Casino Royle or at the numerous clubs and bars on the ship. My favorite was the two story medieval style club called The Catacombs. Plenty of great dance music, lively entertainment and accessible bartenders. There is fun for the whole family with numerous youth programs and activities and a top rated day care program for toddlers. The fitness center and spa are impressive with plenty of space for people to get in their workouts to keep off those pounds from sampling the fantastic food on the ship. Liberty of the Seas is truly an adventure at sea without even stopping in the numerous port destinations.
The Liberty of the Seas is currently saling alternating 7 night Western and Eastern Caribbean itineraries. Go to our Search Page to find the Liberty of Seas cruise that fits your vacation schedule.
